Three people have been arrested in connection with Monday evening's robbery of Northgate Pharmacy on Exmouth St.

The Sarnia Police Criminal Investigation Division executed a search warrant in the 300-block of Nelson St. just before 6pm Wednesday.

Constable Nelson Amaral says officers saw hydromorphone pills in plain view when they entered the residence.

"Officers continued searching the residence and seized a number of items connected to the robbery," says Amaral. "They included clothing articles and accessories, a backpack, a hatchet, a large quantity of empty fentanyl boxes and empty narcotic pill containers, a bag containing approximately 52 fentanyl patches, a box containing various assortments of pills and a large quantity of cash."

Constable Amaral says the total street value of the recovered fentanyl patches is $21,000.

Robert Jayson Britton, 24, of Sarnia is charged with robbery with violence, unauthorized possession of a weapon, disguise with intent, two counts of drug possession for the purpose of trafficking and three counts of failing to comply with probation.

Lindsay May Carro, 35, and Monica Lynn Scott, 38, both of Sarnia, are charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

The trio were being held for bail hearings.
