Environment Canada has lifted a severe thunderstorm warning and watch that was in effect for Watford, Pinery Park, and Eastern Lambton county Wednesday evening.
The warning was in place for just over an hour but was ended around 5:45pm with the watch following shortly after.
The weather agency was tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing very strong wind gusts, up to nickel size hail and heavy rain in the Forest and Arkona areas.
We're reminded that scattered thunderstorms could produce torrential downpours with local rainfall amounts of 50 mm (2 in) in an hour in some areas, especially in a very slow moving thunderstorm.
