Host Families Needed To Welcome International Students

International students will be calling Sarnia-Lambton home this fall.

Local MLI Homestay Coordinator Jill Hillman says there are 20 students coming to the Sarnia area by the end of the month.

She says the students will be attending schools within the Lambton Kent District School Board.

"We are in need of 15 host families in the area and it's adolescent females from Japan that are coming," says Hillman. "Some are staying for just three months and some are staying for the whole school year."

Hillman says the 20 Japanese girls will be attending school at LCCVI in Petrolia, Great Lakes Secondary School and Northern.

She says they are hoping to have all host families in place by Friday, August 11.
