Watch The Sting And Support The United Way

The Sarnia Sting's annual Black and White game is on Wednesday night.

The game, which features a number of current Sting players and Sting prospects vying for a roster spot, is held in support of the Sarnia-Lambton United Way.

Executive Director Dave Brown says it's the 12th year they've partnered with the hockey club.

"The United Way gets all of the proceeds at the doors, we'll be doing 50/50 draws, there's a lot of fun going on," says Brown.

He says they've been raising more and more from the event each year.

"Over the last 11 years we've raised $27,000 and the goal this year is close to $10,000," says Brown.

Brown says the game marks the unofficial kickoff to their annual fundraising campaign which benefits youth, families and seniors in the community.

The game starts at 7pm at Progressive Auto Sales Arena, with a tailgate pre-party in the parking lot at 5pm.
