The training, being conducted by the Sarnia manufacturing site, will simulate a spill to the river.
The company says it will involve mobilizing several response vessels and deploying boom.
Officials in Sarnia, Port Huron and the Chemical Valley Emergency Co-ordination Organization will be notified.
The man was charged in March with sexual assault offences.
