Shaw Nominated As Green Party Candidate

On Friday Kevin Shaw was nominated as the Green Party candidate for Sarnia-Lambton in the next provincial election in June.

Shaw is a math teacher at Great Lakes Secondary School and also operates a small business that provides software to high school athletic associations.

He was born and raised on a farm near Brigden and has deep family roots in Lambton County.

He is a graduate of Lambton Central Collegiate in Petrolia and went on to earn an Honours Bachelor of Math degree from the University of Waterloo and a joint Bachelor of Education degree from Queen’s University.

Shaw is a father of three boys, aged eleven, nine and six. His wife is also a high school math teacher, but at Sarnia’s Northern High School.

There is a history of politics in Shaw’s family, his grandfather Ralph White served as Lambton County Warden in 1952.

Shaw ran fourth in the 2014 election.
