Sting Ranked Number One In CHL For Second Week

For the second straight week, the Sarnia Sting are ranked number one in the Canadian Hockey League's Top-10 Rankings.

Sarnia is in the midst of a 13 game winning streak, moving to an impressive 14-1-0-0 on the season.

This past weekend, the Sting defeated the Sault St. Marie Greyhounds 6-3 and the Flint Firebirds 6-2.

Jordan Kyrou leads the team with 12 goals and 16 helpers for 28 points in his 13 games played. Sarnia has a balanced scoring attack, with ten players having double digit points.

Goalie Justin Fazio has been solid all season long, posting a 10-1-0-0 record with a 2.42 goals against average and .933 save percentage.

The Sting's offence has been the best in the Ontario Hockey League, having scored a league-best 83 goals. Owen Sound is second in the league with 68.

The Greyhounds are ranked 6th, and are the only other OHL team to crack this week's top 10.

Sarnia returns to action Thursday in Peterborough before visiting Kingston on Friday and Ottawa on Sunday.
