The Ministry of Labour is investigating a medical emergency that occurred Thursday morning at the construction site of Sarnia's new Royal Bank branch.
Spokesperson Janet Deline says emergency services were called and a worker was taken by ambulance to hospital.
"It was reported to us that a worker, employed by Brandon Contractors, became unconscious while they were operating some machinery," says Deline.
The condition of the worker is unknown.
Construction of the 8,000 sq ft facility began last month on the west side of the Lambton Mall property.
The North Christina St. and London Rd. Royal Bank branches will close sometime in the first half of 2018 and merge into the new building.
