Lock It Or Lose It

If you've got a head start on your holiday shopping, Sarnia police have a tip, Lock it or Lose it.

Constable John Sottosanti says especially as we get closer to Christmas, you may notice a higher police presence while your checking items of you list.

"We'll have areas attending various parking lots such as the mall and the downtown corridor checking to make sure that people are locking their vehicles and not leaving items on the seats such as purses, wallets and other items that may attract people to break into the car," says Sottosanti.

Constable Sottosanti says police also experience an increase in break and enters to homes this time of year.

He suggests not advertising the items you bought and making sure doors and windows are locked.
