Lambton OPP say drivers are still not adjusting to changing winter conditions.
Constable Chris Doupe says there were nearly a dozen collisions on area highways between 7am and noon Tuesday when road surfaces became glazed as temperatures fell.
"We had 11 single motor vehicle collisions," says Doupe. "Majority of those were vehicles hitting ditch embankments, guardrails and poles."
He says no injuries were reported in any of the crashes, but they could have been prevented.
"We say it year after year, you don't have to drive the speed limit especially during the winter months," says Doupe. "Again it's no secret, speed and following too close are the causes of our preventable collisions."
OPP urge motorists to be aware of the road conditions and slow down.
