Sarnia police reported Wednesday that two men, accused of robbing a Sarnia pharmacy in December, have been in police custody since before Christmas. Two masked men, one carrying a machete, allegedly stole medication from a safe at Wellington Pharmacy the afternoon of December 6, 2017. Police say nobody was hurt during the robbery. The Sarnia Police Criminal Investigation Branch identified one of the suspects shortly after the incident as 38-year-old Nicholas Cotrelle of London. He was arrested in London on December 21, 2017. The second suspect, 33-year-old Jonathan Joseph of Sarnia, was arrested the next day in Sarnia. Both men are charged with robbery, disguise with intent, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, conspiracy to commit an indictable offence and three counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking. Sarnia police say the pair remain in custody awaiting bail hearings.
