A 22-year-old London man faces numerous charges after Sarnia police stopped what turned out to be a stolen vehicle Friday evening. Police say at about 7pm an officer on patrol in the area of London Rd. and Christina St. determined a licence plate on a vehicle had been reported stolen out of London. Further investigation revealed the vehicle had been reported stolen as well. The driver was arrested and police say a subsequent search found small quantities of marijuana and crystal methamphetamine, another stolen licence plate, and a number of tools and switchblade knives. Robert James Maness is charged with possession of property obtained by crime, possession of break and enter instruments, possession of a controlled substance, public mischief and breach of probation. He was being held for a bail hearing.
