Drive away hunger

Farm Credit Canada is once again contributing $100,000 to school meal programs across Canada.

The FCC Drive Away Hunger Campaign has provided over 40 million meals since 2004, having a significant impact on the lives of Canadian children suffering from food insecurity.

Schools, selected by local FCC offices will receive $1,000 each to support their food program.

Among them was East Lambton Elementary School in Watford where FCC's Wyoming staff made a cheque presentation on Thursday.

The Drive Away Hunger Campaign also sees a tractor and trailer drive through communities, collecting food and cash donations for food banks country-wide.

The tractor tours will begin October 4 and end October 18.
