Alleged vehicle thieves arrested in St. Clair Township

Two area men face numerous charges after Lambton OPP recently recovered stolen vehicles.

On October 17, an extensive investigation involving the Lambton Street Crimes Unit, West Region Emergency Response Team, and West Region Canine, led to the arrest of two suspects and the recovery of two stolen pick-up trucks and two off-road vehicles.

Police said search warrants were also executed at various locations resulting in the seizure of additional stolen property.

At about 2 p.m. Wednesday, officers found suspects at a location on Lady Smith Line in St. Clair Township.

It's alleged they fled the area in stolen pick-up trucks but were later apprehended, one in the area of Mandaumin Road north of Tupperville, and the other on St. Clair Parkway north of Corunna.

Cody Winston Price, 28, of Warwick Township, and Shawn John Moro, 48, of Corunna are both charged with three counts of possession of stolen property over $5,000, two counts of possession of property under $5,000, and possession of break-in instruments.

Price faces several other charges including dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, resisting a police officer, and cruelty to an animal for kicking a police dog.

Both were in custody pending bail hearings.
