Lambton OPP have solved a nearly six-year-old theft by identifying fingerprints left at the scene of the crime.
Several long guns were taken from a home in St. Clair Township in December 2012.
The OPP West Region Identification Bureau was able to lift several fingerprints from the scene, and further investigation resulted in police positively identifying them.
A 24-year-old Plympton-Wyoming man is charged with six counts of stealing a firearm, and one count of committing an indictable offence.
He will attend the Sarnia courthouse on December 17 to answer to the charges.
