Proceeds from this year's Year of Local project will once again go to charities across Sarnia-Lambton. The project includes a book featuring 95 stories about the area's businesses, organizations, and people. Spokesman Rich Bouchard said they're also offering pre-curated boxes for $100 each. They can be purchased at the Book Keeper, Paulina's Flower Shoppe, and Riverbank and Co. "We got together with a handful of local business owners and put together a local box that features some local products, gift cards and discounts. Each box has a value of over $200 in local products." The books are available for $25 at the Book Keeper in the Northgate Plaza. Overall, nearly 20 charities will benefit including the Inn of the Good Shepherd, Humane Society, and Noelle's Gift.
