Sarnia-Lambton MP looking forward to prosperous 2019

Sarnia Lambton's MP is optimistic that 2019 will be a year of prosperity.

Marilyn Gladu said local residents have a lot to feel good about these days.

"We have seen a lot of industry show up in Sarnia," said Gladu. "We've got the NOVA expansion, we've got Origin Plastics, Comet Biorefinery, and BitCity coming in. So, job creation is on the rise. We see more health care workers coming in to address our aging population."

Gladu said she's also looking forward to the 2019 Federal Election.

She said the country and community of Sarnia-Lambton would benefit if Andrew Scheer and the Tories are elected.

"The first thing that we will do is bring the budget back to balance, and we will strengthen our borders," said Gladu. "I think Canadians want a fair and compassionate system that is not going to result in 38,000 people coming into the country and costing us billions of dollars. We need to choose people that are filling the skill gaps that we have or people that we choose to have compassion on because they're in a war-torn situation."

Gladu said a Tory government would bring criminal justice back to Canada, and create a climate that encourages foreign investment.
