Warmer, but wet and windy for weekend

We're finally going to see seasonal or even above seasonal temperatures on the weekend but it's going to be wet and windy.

Environment Canada issued a special weather statement for Sarnia-Lambton Friday afternoon.

The weather agency says rainfall amounts of 15 millimetres to 25 millimetres are expected Saturday night into Sunday morning.

Southwest winds gusting to 70 kilometres per hour or 80 kilometres per hour will develop Sunday and continue for much of the day.

The rain and wind are associated with a Colorado low that will track through Northeastern Ontario Sunday.

After several days of temperatures well below normal for this time of year, a high of 4 C (39 F) is forecast for Saturday in Sarnia, and 7 C (45 F) for Sunday.
