A fire was reported at Sarnia's Suncor refinery late Monday morning.
The Aamjiwnaang Notification System reported at about 11:30 a.m. that a Chemical Valley alert had been issued for a small fire inside the Plant 3 compound.
In a recorded message on the Community Awareness Emergency Response Line (CAER), the company said workers were evacuated from the compound as a precaution, and the fire had been isolated.
No injuries were reported and Suncor said there was no community action required.
Aamjiwnaang reported in the afternoon that the alert had been downgraded but there was still the potential for elevated flaring.
