UPDATE: No charges laid in Eastland Centre crash

No charges will be laid after a vehicle smashed through a glass storefront at Sarnia’s Eastland Centre Tuesday afternoon.

A black SUV ended up inside the New Beginnings Club on Indian Road South.

Sarnia police, fire and Lambton EMS responded just before 2 p.m.

Police said since the incident happened on private property, no charges can be laid under the Highway Traffic Act.

The investigating officer has made a request to the Ministry of Transportation to have the female driver's licence reviewed.

Nobody was seriously injured.

A bystander was treated on scene for minor injuries.
