Noelle's Gift of Fitness expanding

Noelle's Gift of Fitness is expanding this year to include a health expo for the first time.

The event is being held Saturday from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. at Point Edward Arena.

Organizer Cathy Robertson said in the past they've had activities spread throughout the city.

She said they're trying a one stop shop this year, which includes workouts, motivational speakers and 40 health and wellness exhibitors.

"All fitness levels are welcome," said Robertson. "We encourage everybody to come. These people that are coming are presenters, they're pros that work with everybody. So, they'll bring you the best workout that you can have."

Robertson said registration for the day is $100 and can be done at www.noellesgift.ca.

That includes a $75 tax receipt a gift bag, and access to an after party.

Those wishing to check out the exhibits can make a donation at the door.

Noelle's Gift is a charity focused on ensuring every student in Lambton County has everything from adequate nutrition to shoes to school supplies.

It's named in memory of 27-year-old slain school teacher Noelle Paquette.
