Police said they've received a number of calls about the video of the distraught boy.
Officers have spoken with the boy, who is under 12 years old, and said he's fine.
Because of his age, police say no other details will be released and the incident has been brought to a safe conclusion.
Due to Lakeshore's geography, it can take an ambulance as long as 20 minutes to arrive at some locations.
A blanket exemption would be consistent and remove the need for individual businesses to apply.
The fundraiser raised $35,000 dollars, with 17 restaurants participating.
