Pathway's Health Centre for Children is getting a fundraising boost.
Wednesday, May 8 is McHappy Day at all local McDonald's restaurants and $1 from every Big Mac, Happy Meal or hot McCafe beverage will go to Pathway's.
Executive Director Jenny Greensmith said the money raised will go towards the therapeutic pool fundraising campaign, and every dollar counts.
"Many in the community remember an eight-month period last year when the therapeutic pool was closed," said Greensmith. "We had such outcry and knew we had to do something about it, and so we have the capital campaign launched. It will take a lot of effort and support like such as this, we've made wonderful headway but we've got to get to $1.6 million."
Locally last year, McDonald's customers raised $24, 270 for The HUB.
Across the country, over $6.1 million was collected for different children's charities and Ronald McDonald Houses.
