Wyoming's Myers selected by Jays in MLB draft

Wyoming native Noah Myers has been selected by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 30th round of the MLB draft.

The outfielder, who is a sophomore at Wabash Valley, hit .397 this season with 8 homers, 60 RBI, and a team record 77 stolen bases.

Myers was a catalyst for the Warriors all season from the lead-off spot, leading Wabash Valley to a 49-1 record and a Great Rivers Athletic Conference championship.

He made just one error on 65 chances in the outfield.

Locally, Myers played for the Great Lake Canadians, Wyoming Wranglers, and Sarnia Braves and will be heading to the University of South Carolina.
