Hundreds of cyclists to ride for mental health

Cyclists from across Canada, including Lambton-Kent, will be riding in support of mental health programs on Sunday.

Hundreds will meet at the Mooretown Sports Complex for the Canadian Mental Health Association's annual Ride Don't Hide event.

Proceeds support family and youth wellness, specifically, suicide prevention and education in schools across Lambton-Kent as part of the Preventative Education Program.

There are a few different options for riders, including the 50 kilometre, 20 kilometre, and 8 kilometre routes.

There's also a new 8 kilometre run/walk option this year.

Those interested can pre-register at www.ridedonthide.com until 12 a.m. Saturday night.

Registration is $45 in advance and $50 the morning of the event, which kicks off at 8 a.m.

The fundraising goal for Lambton-Kent is $75,000 after raising $60,000 in 2018.
