A severe thunderstorm watch for Sarnia-Lambton was upgraded to a warning Friday evening as storms brought heavy rain, wind gusts, and lightning.
Tree branches came down in parts of the city and some 8,000 Bluewater Power customers had service disrupted.
Bluewater Power reported via Twitter that it had to work to bring feeder lines back up, and deal with broken poles and low hanging wires.
Feeder lines were back up by 10 p.m. but utility crews had to work through the night to fully restore power and were still making repairs Saturday.
We have crews in today doing some cleanup. Taking some trees off the lines, working on part power calls and fixing a couple of broken poles. If there are any power interruptions today, it will likely be to accommodate these jobs. This pic was taken by one of our customers. ? pic.twitter.com/V5k1cLzd2d
