Marcotte Disposal is asking for some help from residents in Sarnia and Point Edward with the mercury expected to climb more by the end of this week.
Chief Operating Officer Tracey Kaplin said they're implementing some measures in anticipation of the heat.
"We plan on running a few extra trucks on Thursday and Friday, so we can make sure our guys are off nice and early so that they're not stuck out in that heat," said Kaplin.
Residents in the city and village are asked to have their garbage out by 7 a.m. each day to ensure their pickup isn't missed.
Environment Canada is forecasting a high of 30 C (86 F) Thursday with an overnight low of 26 C (79 F).
The temperature is expected to climb to 34 C (93 F) on Friday.
