Environment Canada upgraded a severe thunderstorm watch to a warning shortly before 6 p.m. on Wednesday. The weather agency said as of 5:40 p.m., meteorologists were tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing very strong wind gusts, up to nickel size hail and heavy rain.
The warning was downgraded at around 7:15 p.m. and the severe thunderstorm watch was rescinded at around 8:30 p.m.
Hospitals in southwestern Ontario are feeling the effects of underfunding, according to a new report by the CCPA.
