Sarnia-Lambton Rebound is hoping to raise $80,000 at next year's Hearts for Youth Gala.
The annual fundraiser marks 21 years in February 2020.
Fund Development and Marketing Coordinator Anita Minielly said we can expect to see a lot of red and white as the gala pays tribute to Canada.
"The theme is ‘Ode to Everything Canadian,' so we're celebrating everything Canadian -- we're going to have a poutine bar, it's going to be a buffet, and we have the Practically Hip, the best Canadian tribute band to the Tragically Hip, so it's going to be a lot of fun just having all that great music," she said. "We're going to have our live auction as well as our silent auction, but to be able to celebrate everything Canadian, from the decorations to our hope of getting some Canadian themed auction items, it's just a great way to recognize and be proud of everything Canadians are all about."
Minielly said money raised will support the 19 different programs offered through Sarnia-Lambton Rebound.
"The Hearts for Youth Gala is our biggest fundraiser, and that last couple of years we've raised just over $70,000. This year the funds will be directed to basically all of our programs -- the last couple of years we've been choosing specific areas, but this year money raised will just go back into our general programming," she said.
