UPDATE: Windsor man arrested after stolen vehicle catches fire

A Windsor man faces several charges after a stolen vehicle caught fire in a field off London Line in Plympton-Wyoming Tuesday.

Lambton OPP said at about 8:45 a.m. they were contacted about a theft from a business at Oil Heritage Road and London Line.

A vehicle, believed stolen earlier in the morning, was seen travelling westbound through a bean field and officers noticed a large fire in the field. The stolen vehicle was found in a ditch.

A suspect had fled on foot but was tracked down by the canine and emergency response units and taken into custody.

Timothy Yetman, 31, faces charges including theft of a motor vehicle, possession of property obtained by crime, dangerous operation of a vehicle, and obstructing a peace officer.  He was in custody awaiting a court appearance in Sarnia.

While answering the fire call, a Plympton-Wyoming fire truck crashed, sending five firefighters to hospital with minor injuries.
