Sarnia's Monopoly version a moneymaker

It appears Sarnia's very own version of Monopoly is a wildly popular item for Christmas.

Sarnia-Opoly was recently launched by BC-based Outset Media and includes local landmarks like Canatara Park, the Stones N Bones Museum, and the Imperial Theatre.

Wal-Mart Customer Service Representative Debbie Bryson said the games have been flying off the shelves with customers lining up in anticipation of additional shipments over the last couple of days.

"Since 7 a.m. this morning, we actually got it in earlier than what we figured, it was out at 3 p.m. yesterday afternoon. This is our third round of this Sarnia-Opoly and we just can't keep it on the shelves. We've had calls everyday asking if it's come in."

Bryson said they've received three shipments of 400, 800, and another 1,000 copies Friday.

She said there's still a chance of getting one, if you hurry.

"There's some of the shelves and we have a skid in the back."

The price of the game is about $30.
