A house fire on Gurd Street in Sarnia May 21, 2020 (Submitted photo)Sarnia firefighters responded to a house fire in the city's north end Thursday afternoon.
At around 2:30 p.m. crews were called to a split level house on Gurd Street near Murphy Road.
Neighbours indicated there was no one home at the time and firefighters appeared to get the blaze under control quickly.
A damage estimate or the cause were not immediately available.
City police blocked off the east end of Gurd Street at Murphy Road while firefighters were on scene.
The man was charged in March with sexual assault offences.
Both couples won in the April 11 draw.
