Sarnia-Lambton's Tampon Tuesday movement resumes this week.
Organizer Michelle Parks said the monthly collection drive was cancelled in April, May and June due to COVID-19.
She said the need has never been greater.
"People have really stepped up to donate to the Inn of the Good Shepherd, but often when people think of what to donate to food banks, it's usually non-perishable food items," said Parks. "People don't think of all the other things that belong on a grocery list, like soap and dish detergent and primarily, for women living in poverty, menstrual hygiene products."
Nearly 2200 boxes of menstrual products have been collected since the initiative was launched a year ago.
The public is invited to bring packages of pads and tampons to Stokes Inland Grill and Bar from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. July 7.
Bins will be located outside of the restaurant and patio doors.
