Sarnia Lambton helps 'Be The Change'

The Imperial Theatre's "Be The Change" event Wednesday was a huge success.

Executive Director Brian Austin said a total of $10,310 was raised toward the Tiny Little Fundraiser's $100,000 goal.

Since the fundraiser kicked off at the beginning of the month, the community has donated $23,917 to the downtown theatre.

"We still have a few weeks left to reach our goal of $100,000.00, so if you know someone who hasn’t donated yet please encourage them to do so," said Austin.

The Tiny Little Fundraiser runs until July 31.

Austin said money collected will support the theatre's operations.

He said since having to close in March because of the pandemic, they’ve cancelled or postponed about 50 shows and refunded over $60,000 in tickets.
