Heavy thunderstorms developed in daytime heating in Sarnia-Lambton Monday afternoon prompting Environment Canada to issue a severe thunderstorm warning for the eastern part of the county.
The weather agency reported shortly after 4 p.m. that weather spotters had reported tree damage in the Warwick area.
Forecasters said a line of storms extending from Kettle Point to eight kilometres northeast of Inwood was moving east at 45 kilometres per hour.
Wind gusts to 110 kilometres per hour and nickel size hail were the main hazards.
