Man charged in theft of school bus batteries

A 32-year-old Sarnia man is charged in connection with the theft of batteries from a local school bus company's compound.

A COPPS unit officer was doing routine checks at around 11:30 p.m. Friday, and allegedly found a wheelbarrow full of batteries.

The suspect was eventually found hiding underneath a bus and was arrested without incident.

He is charged with theft over $5,000, mischief over $5,000, break and enter, and possession of break and enter instruments.
