Suspect arrested in restaurant vandalism spree

Sarnia police have made an arrest after a downtown restaurant was repeatedly vandalized over the summer.

Police said in July, the owner of a business in the 500 block of Christina Street reported various forms of ongoing vandalism.

As the incidents escalated, the COPPS Unit began surveillance and was able to identify a suspect.

A 48-year-old man is charged with six counts of mischief and one count of criminal harassment.

Police say the accused was known to the victim.

The name of the restaurant has not been released.
