The Sarnia-Lambton United Way campaign is just under the 24 per cent mark heading into week three.
Executive Director Dave Brown said so far they've raised $450,000 of the $1.9 million target.
"We did have a good week last week, the Imperial campaign is going well, INEOS Styrolution, Cabot, Reliance Home Comfort kicks off this week and Enbridge just kicked off on the weekend as well," said Brown. "With the direct mail and we've had an uptick on our online giving, has all contributed to that $50,000 growth in the last five or six days."
Brown said so far, 775 people have donated to this year's campaign.
"We're anticipating we are going to need about 4,200 donors by the end of the year to reach that $1.9 million target," he said.
The pandemic has forced the cancellation of several large campaign fundraisers, including the annual Sarnia Sting Black & White Game and the Locally Lambton Dinner.
The United Way funds 18 agencies providing 36 community programs and services.
