LPH reports 10 new COVID cases, another workplace outbreak

In it's daily update Saturday Lambton Public Health (LPH) reported ten new cases of COVID-19.

Since the end of March there have been 1,827 confirmed cases of the virus with 1,700 resolved dropping the active cases by 17 to 90.

The death toll is unchanged at 37 and there is one new outbreak for a total of nine.

The local health unit said three lab-confirmed positive test results for COVID-19 were linked to an unnamed workplace.

“The individuals who tested positive have been notified of their results,” said Jennifer Beaubien, Supervisor of Family Health for Lambton Public Health. “LPH is continuing to conduct case and contact management as part of the investigation.”

Saturday morning Bluewater Health reported nine patients in hospital with the virus, an increase of two since Friday.
