It was a socially distant weather prediction Tuesday morning from Oil Springs Ollie.
Heaven's Wildlife Rescue Owner Peggy Jenkins said the groundhog emerged from his home just after 8 a.m. and did not see his shadow.
"We have some really good news, it's going to be an early spring," said Jenkins.
Jenkins said Ollie, who is getting up in age, was joined by his friend Harvey who is in training to be a great weather prognosticator too.
Ontario's Wiarton Willie agrees with Ollie after not seeing his shadow Tuesday morning.
Nova Scotia's Shubenacadie Sam is also predicting an early spring. Stateside, Punxsutawney Phil emerged from his burrow in Pennsylvania to forecast six more weeks of winter.
According to folklore, if a groundhog sees its shadow on February 2nd, it will retreat into its burrow, heralding six more weeks of cold weather.
