Denise Palmer, a retired resident of the Hard Oil Town, said she received her $50,000 ticket as a gift from her husband, who purchased it at Heidi's Your Independent Grocer.
"I was playing the ticket and noticed everything matched so I went to the store the next day and confirmed my win."
Palmer said she plans on using her winnings for home renovations.
Hospitals in southwestern Ontario are feeling the effects of underfunding, according to a new report by the CCPA.
