A 48-year-old Sarnia woman is facing drug trafficking charges after a routine traffic stop Wednesday night.
City police said an officer ran the licence plate number of a vehicle in the area of Elgin Street at around 11:30 p.m., which indicated the vehicle's owner was a suspended driver.
The female driver was taken into custody without incident.
Police said a search of the vehicle allegedly led to the seizure of 56 grams of crystal methamphetamine, and several hydromorphone tablets, with a total street value of $6,080.
Candy Lynn Sweet is charged with trafficking, drug possession and driving while under suspension.
