TSL hits milestone in gift card sales

Tourism Sarnia-Lambton (TSL) has reached a milestone with its Gift Card Program.

Executive Director Mark Perrin said gift certificate sales have surpassed $100,000.

"So we had a lot of success with the gift certificates throughout the holiday season and Christmas time and that's when the majority of sales took place," said Perrin. "But, we found from the holidays until now they continue to be a very popular item."

Over 300 businesses across Lambton County are participating in the program, which will continue for the rest of 2021, and is expected to help generate an estimated $14.7-million for the local economy.

"Obviously its supporting local businesses and 100 per cent of the proceeds go to those businesses where they get redeemed at," he said. "It's just a great win-win for everyone."

Perrin said gift cards are available to purchase at Tourism Sarnia-Lambton's office at 1455 Venetian Boulevard in Point Edward or online at discoversarnialambton.com.
