Public & Government Affairs Manager Kristina Zimmer said emergency plant personnel responded to what she called a small fire. She said there were no injuries.
The sirens sounded just after 5 p.m.
At 6:40 p.m., Imperial said the all-clear had been issued.
The cause was being investigated.
The man was charged in March with sexual assault offences.
