Active COVID cases down four

It's another small increase for Sarnia-Lambton's new COVID cases.

Lambton Public Health reported four new infections Monday morning, along with eight more resolved. New cases haven't hit double digits since May 28.

There have been 3,612 confirmed cases during the pandemic, including 3,533 resolved cases and 62 COVID-related deaths.

Active cases are at 17, down four from Sunday, and active outbreaks are still at one. Back in March, active cases topped 200.

Bluewater Health has two patients with confirmed COVID-19 in its care.

Lambton Public Health expanded second dose eligibility to youth 12-17 years of age Monday.

Individuals who received their first dose of Pfizer at least 28 days ago are now able to book their second dose appointments for any of the local clinics.
