OPP charge 'eager fan' in Lambton Shores

Lambton OPP say an "eager fan" is facing criminal harassment charges following an incident in Lambton Shores Thursday.

Police were contacted at 10:30 a.m. about a performer who was being followed and receiving unwanted communication from an individual.

Then around 8:30 p.m., officers attended a venue after event staff observed the individual in attendance.

Police said the individual was taken into custody without incident.

A 44-year-old Walpole Island First Nation woman has been charged with criminal harassment and two counts of failure to comply with undertaking.

She was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
