The St. Andrew Street and Vidal Street intersection will remain closed at the railroad tracks over the weekend.
Repairs are still needed following a minor derailment early Wednesday morning.
Nine tank cars left the track at around 4 a.m. resulting in damage to the tracks in the area.
City Emergency Management Coordinator Ron Realesmith said repairs are ongoing.
"Due to inclement weather this past week, they are unable to remedy the road surface at this time. The crossing will remain closed over the weekend with repairs commencing on Monday, July 19."
The root cause of the derailment is under investigation.
