Lambton OPP say a suspect tried to evade police in Grand Bend by fleeing into the water.
At around 7:50 p.m. August 20, officers tried to arrest a person that was allegedly drinking alcohol on the Grand Bend pier.
Police said the individual ran into the lake, but officers arrested the person when they exited the water.
A 27-year-old from Toronto is charged with obstructing a peace officer, being intoxicated in a public place and consuming liquor outside of a licensed premises, residence or private place.
While they were trying to make the arrest, another person was taken into custody for interfering with officers.
A 31-year-old from Toronto is charged with obstructing a peace officer and being intoxicated in a public place.
Both suspects will appear in court at a later date.
