July 12, 2019. (BlackburnNews photo by Colin Gowdy)Sarnia police responded to the area of Wellington Street and Cardiff Drive Thursday afternoon after a child was struck by a vehicle.
Cst. Nelson Amaral said a child on a bicycle was taken to hospital at around 4 p.m. with undisclosed injuries.
Motorists were being advised to avoid the area while police investigated.
Amaral said the investigation is in its early stages.
Hospitals in southwestern Ontario are feeling the effects of underfunding, according to a new report by the CCPA.
Fortunately, no children were on board the bus, but the drivers of both vehicles were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The man was charged in March with sexual assault offences.
