Council also approved $300,000 to purchase a new or used airplane de-icer and $370,000 to replace the sweeper at Monday's meeting.

Both items must be purchased by March 31, 2022 in order to meet agreement terms for the approved funding agreement through the Regional Air Transportation Initiative.

Council has directed staff to identify potential locations for the installation of a poppy crosswalk.
